Medicare services for Rural Areas

The new budget delivered exciting news for Australian rural residents, announcing Medicare-funded tele-health services to be provided by psychologists and eligible mental health workers. Residents in Modified Monash Model (MMM) regions 4-7 will be eligible to conduct 7 out of their 10 sessions via teleconference.

Rise strongly supports this new initiative and believes in equitable access for vulnerable and high risk populations. 

This initiative will commence on November 1st, 2017.
